Everyone knows there are different intensities of friendships.
There are friends who will always be willing to share a good time with you.
Then there are the friends who know at a glance or from one word that you are hurting and they will reach out to help.
Then there are the friends that see that and write you a song to remind you that you’re not alone.
Let me explain.
A few months back I was in dark place. I posted a plea on Facebook –
“Friends? I need you. I’m feeling very low right now and miss all of your lovely faces. Please post a selfie, maybe with the moon? That way I’ll feel more connected to you, no matter where you are. Thanks!”
I got 79 comments and selfies from all over the world, some with the moon, some without, but all with warmth and friendship I needed so badly just then.
Then there was Patrick… No one shared the moon with me quite like him. Merci, Patrick! I am truly blessed to have you as a friend. To all my “mooners” – I love you all! Thank you!
